Recreating History Without CGI "Recreating the Trinity test without the use of CGI was an extreme decision to pull off," Nolan shared in a discussion with Total Film Magazine. This decision marks a significant departure from the norm in contemporary filmmaking, especially in a genre that often relies heavily on computer-generated imagery. The film's visual effects supervisor, Andrew Jackson, worked closely with Nolan to explore practical methods for representing complex themes such as quantum physics and the historical Trinity test. Nolan's dedication to authenticity brings an unparalleled realism to the portrayal of these monumental events in history.
